Insulated windows, also known as “sealed units,” “insulated glass,” or “double glazed units” refers to two glass panes that are held apart by a spacer bar. The air gap between these glass panes help reduce heat conduction, keeping more heat within your space during cold seasons and heat outside of your space during warm seasons.

Most insulated windows are double glazed, but there also exist units with three panes or more, which are referred to as triple glazing, are becoming more common due to help reduce energy consumption.
